Unfortunately & how much I hate to use this word but there's no other option well unfortunately materialism, greed and corruption is now ruling our society. No one bothers about honesty and sincerity anymore. Day by day we are going morally corrupt what we say either we don't believe in it or just don't mean it intentionally or unintentionally we are becoming hypocrites :'(

Not many years ago, people used to work hard for livelihood. Their moral values and hard work formed the basis of their respect. people used to respect a man of words who was upright , honest self made he was regarded one of the best no matter what his life style was. But Now it's just the opposite & changed , the place & respect you get in the society is based on worldly things now it's more about who has the biggest house, the most expensive car, and largest bank balance the materialistic things are the yard stick of the place you get in this so called social circle. Now people don't bother to see , ask or question how that man who was nobody only few years back is so well placed & living a luxurious life . We just get impressed by his life style & the influential people he's moving around with . Nobody bothers & ask how he has earned this wealth honestly or is it result of unfair means, corruption, sumaggling abuse of power etc.

When we judge people based on their material possessions, they will obviously see more money as a way to be respected, and try to acquire it by any means possible. The desire to acquire more worldly wealth and using shortcuts to success is clearly present in everyone now. Corruption and greed have always been present in society, but now it has seeped deep into people's attitudes and minds . We can see it being manifested in clear ways's, some people are too rich, others are so poor that they struggle to make it through the day, the middle class which used to be the backbone of the society & it's moral values is now almost gone and there can be no peace,respect, love or unity between these groups who are far apart.

This situation is further worsening, because from the beginning, parents don't have time for their kids so they try to make up for it by buying things for them. They never bother to teach them what's socially or morally right they just forget the most important part of their upbringing that is their character & their personality. So from the very beginning, from children to adults, their objective of life is to get more and more. There is nothing wrong with that, but the fact that they are willing to do anything for it is the cause of great concern. Case in point, the mathchfixing scandal. Whether that is true or false, the fact remains that people are usually willing to give everything away for more worldly possessions, whether they need it or not.

Worshiping money goes against everything in Islam and the ideology of Pakistan stands for, and seeing it rampant is heartbreaking. The inner frustration in people is expressed in excruciatingly painful ways, such as the incidents at Sialkot, Karachi etc and the rising suicide rates. People just dont care about their actions and their implications now. We are becoming very selfcentered & selfish we have stopped being contented & want more & more Change is bound to happen always, but let us try to make it a positive one, and move on forward instead of backward. I know that the hardest arithmetic to master is that which enables us to count our blessings but we should try to master it only then we can move forward. Stop blaming others for what's happening in our country or society first change yourself then inshallah things will start falling in the right place never ever underestimate the POWER OF ONE

Just have faith in yourself & Allah because Once you loose faith... you lose everything.

Pakistan Rangers have arranged all transport, security and logistics. The system IS working.

Once again I urge all donors to plan things out and to work in coordination with the administration. Not having faith in the system is valid. But not making the system work with you I sheer carelessness and not the apart of democracy.

And those of you who are getting ready to comment on the state of Pakistan's democracy need to understand the responsibility of a democratic nation.
